The officials who are greed and morally corrupt, Rwanda insurance association senior officials that normally put their selfish interests forward exposed. How?, why,? when? and who?. These actions have a negative impact to our society and discourage the innovations in the youth.

In 2018 the Rwanda national bank (BNR) released a report that showed how the insurance companies in Rwanda made a loss of more than Rwf 6 billion ($ 6,417,112.20) in claims every year. According to the reports private insurance institutions in Rwanda made a Rwf 8.3 billion ($ 8,877,005.21) loss in 2013, Rwf 12.2 billion ($ 13,048,128.14) in 2014, Rwf 12.5 billion ($ 13,368,983.75) in 2015, Rwf 13.4 billion ($ 14,331,550.58) in 2016 and Rwf 6.9 billion ($ 7,379,679.03) in 2017

Insurance claims normally cover damages sustained after a care accident or representation or intervention on the insured’s behalf when they are liable for damages. So the above mentioned losses a sustained during the claiming process, here some of the individuals trick the insurance companies into paying more damage costs than the ones which were incurred in reality and hence lead to irrecoverable loss.

Among the recommendations by the Rwanda national bank (BNR) to solve this issue was to go digital. The story tells of why it have not gone digital besides the made in Rwanda IT Innovations. It shows how the official in the Insurance association abuses their powers.
