The Rwanda Classified Project

Journalists threatened and forced into exile, opponents murdered by clandestine commandos, espionage. Coordinated by Forbidden Stories, the RWANDA Classified project began with the mysterious death in January 2023 of journalist John Williams Ntwali.

On Monday, May 29th, the “Rwanda Classified” investigation, co-ordinated by the Forbidden Stories collective, is devoted to the dark side of the Rwandan regime, led with an iron hand by Paul Kagame for 24 years. 

It is an investigation that earned Rwandan journalist Samuel Baker exile. Together with him and 17 other international media, we continued, as part of the #RwandaClassified project, his investigation into Kigali’s secret war in #RDC.

A large-scale international investigation has just been published as part of the journalists’ consortium Forbidden Stories, a group that pursues investigations into journalists killed, or killed in suspicious circumstances.
